Power Play Live: San Diego’s Games & Entertainment Festival brings families, friends, and visitors together for a lively outdoor celebration of play and recreation.
Set within the scenic landscape of Presidio Park, the festival transforms nearly three acres into an interactive playground featuring 9 themed play zones filled with games, challenges, and hands-on activities, along with Power Play Plaza — a discovery area where families can connect with local programs, businesses, and opportunities for summer fun!

Power Play Live is the perfect way to kick off summer in San Diego — a vibrant family festival filled with games, challenges, creative activities, and hands on fun. Kids come to run, climb, build, and explore while parents discover camps, programs, and resources to keep their children active, healthy, and engaged all summer long.

For exhibitors and sponsors, it’s a powerful opportunity to connect directly with local families seeking summer activities, enrichment programs, and family focused experiences.
Kids Run the Fun
Experience
Our event features a special experience called Kids Run the Fun – Kids Take Charge, where young participants become the stars of the festival. During designated times on Saturday and Sunday, kids are treated as Power Play VIPs and help lead the excitement across the event. Participants receive complimentary admission, special swag bags, food, and the chance to take on fun roles throughout the festival.

Kids may help introduce games, assist with activities, encourage players during challenges, and bring extra energy to the atmosphere. Each child takes part in one to two hour assignments with a supervising adult for support. It’s a fun leadership experience that builds confidence, teamwork, and excitement while giving kids the chance to truly run the fun.
